Effective December 10,2025,the T/CMEPCA123-2025“Technical Specifications for Lightning Protection of Power Transmission and Transformation Facilities in High-Altitude Areas”group standard officially came into effect.Hunan Oumaan Technology Group Co.,Ltd.was honored as the lead drafting organization for this standard and was awarded the corresponding certificate.


Building upon existing relevant standards,the T/CMEPCA123-2025“Technical Specifications for Lightning Protection of Power Transmission and Transformation Facilities in High-Altitude Areas”group standard systematically supplements and refines the design,construction,and testing aspects of lightning protection for power transmission and transformation facilities,specifically addressing the unique geographical and climatic conditions of high-altitude regions.It is better tailored to the practical lightning protection needs of special areas such as high mountains,steep cliffs,and snow-covered regions.
Power facilities in high-altitude regions often face harsh conditions such as low atmospheric pressure,strong ultraviolet radiation,extreme temperature fluctuations,high soil or rock resistivity,and frequent thunderstorms.Conventional lightning protection measures and testing methods struggle to comprehensively evaluate the actual performance of grounding grids under high-frequency lightning strikes,often resulting in situations where grounding resistance tests pass but circuit breakers still trip during lightning strikes.
